Nothing too much trouble, the venue met requirements. Everything was perfect, excellant location close to Matera, which is a fantastic place and Matera's Sassi and the historic caves, just perfect experience. The room was old but beautifully renovated with ultra-modern bathrooms and available with balcony. The breakfast was wonderful and the food was excellent.

I had a wonderful stay at Sax Barisano in Matera! The location was superb, right in the heart of Sasso Barisano, with all the major attractions within walking distance. The apartment itself was fantastic, with a spacious balcony offering breathtaking views of the town. The hosts, Aldo and Rosa, were incredibly hospitable and made sure I had everything I needed. They even took me on an afternoon drive to see a panoramic view of the town. The breakfast they prepared was delicious, with local cheeses, bread, and other specialty dishes. I highly recommend this place for a fantastic stay in Matera.

The Sax Barisano Bed & Breakfast is simply lovely. The place is clean and the location is very close to everything - with most major attractions just a 15-20 minute walk away. The owners - Aldo and Rosa - are amazing and positive people. They own a restaurant on the same property and serve excellent breakfasts - including local specialties. They even took us on a drive to see a breathtaking panorama of the town.
Do recommend.

A charming B&B with a delicious breakfast, free wifi, and even valet parking! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the Sassi and Park of the Rupestrian Churches.
I mean, who needs a beautiful location and top-notch amenities anyway? Definitely not me.

Unique prehistoric caves with a touch of history. One of the highlights of my stay at this B&B was the opportunity to stay in the Suites, which are set on two levels with a cozy bedroom upstairs. It felt like sleeping in a cave, but with all the modern comforts! The ambiance was truly unique, giving me a taste of Matera's rich history and culture. It was like stepping back in time, but with a touch of luxury!

The Explore Suites at Sax Barisano B & B are cozy and comfortable, with a bedroom upstairs, making it feel like a home away from home for a vegetarian like me. I loved having a kitchenette with a refrigerator and stovetop in the room, it allowed me to prepare my own veggie meals whenever I wanted. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch, providing entertainment during downtime. Air conditioning in the room was a blessing, especially during hot summer days in Matera. The free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, keeping me connected throughout my stay.
Personally, I found the private bathroom with a bath or shower and bidet a bit small for my liking, but I understand that others may still find it suitable.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, and the room was stunning with its characterful layout and antiques. The location in the old town was perfect, and the views from the stone balcony were breathtaking. The hosts, Mr. Aldo and Mrs. Rosa, were truly delightful and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Mr. Aldo even took us on a personal sightseeing tour in his car when he found out about my ankle being in a cast.
Breakfast option could have been more varied.

The rooms were so romantic, especially with the beautiful balcony. Aldo and Rosa, the hosts, were the best! They gave us all the info we needed and served us the most delicious breakfast. We also loved exploring the area on our bikes, it was so much fun!
If there was one thing we would ask for, it would be more options for nightlife and parties. We had a great time during the day, but as young party-goers, we were hoping for a little more excitement in the evenings.
